I have new book available in PDF format for only $50.00 There are advantages and disadvantages of this format for rocker builders I know, but - the big advantage is that it does not cost me 70 dollars to print. Therefore you save money. These days, that is a good thing! The bad thing is you may not have a computer in your shop. The solution to that would be to print a copy yourself. The book is full color with over 1000 high quality photos but it prints in black and white mode very well so it will not cost you a fortune to print it.
The new book is significantly more detailed, a requirement of the more complex design, and much longer. The old book was about 130 pages this new book is closer to 260 pages with a similar increase in the number of photos! Also, the photos are superb quality.

Full Templates - $50 (includes three sizes for 5' to 6' 1")

BBHT - $35 (fixture for milling back brace holes in seat)
Video, 3 DVD set (optional) $90 (over 10 hours of high quality video)
The most common question I am asked, after a student has made three or four rocking chairs is "Can I sell them". The answer is "Of course!"

Many builders have built more than one rocking chair. Parker Converse is in the hundreds I believe and Joe Godfrey has made over 70 at last count. I have made, to date, close to 300.
When you order the plans I will supply you with full size drawings of all the components of the chair for all three size chairs that I make. You also get complete instructions with drawings and photos showing each step in detail along with drawings of all jigs and fixtures that you will need in order to build this beautiful chair. In addition you get all the phone and email help you need. I tell builders "If you have a question on chair one or chair fifty, give me a call, I am always happy to help."
Recent design changes that I have made make the back brace action better and more durable. In order for you to exactly duplicate my new back brace system you need to order the BBHT. This is a router template for milling the back brace holes in the seat.
I can also help you as much as you want. If there are steps you are unsure of, you can send parts to me and I will do as much as you like, for this service I charge $50/hr. For example to carve the seat out would be one hour labor.
